Anna Lee Chase-Burgess

April 25, 1968 — July 4, 2021

ANNA CHASE-BURGESS, 53
Anna Lee Chase-Burgess is sparkling in the stars of Heaven and forever in our hearts and thoughts after passing away on July 4 in the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC at the young age of 53. She is no longer in pain or suffering following a long, hard-fought, and courageous battle with medical problems. The beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend to many was born in Beckley, West Virginia on April 25, 1968 to Evelene and Delbert McMillion. She was united in marriage to her husband of over 15 years Mike Burgess who cherished her and never left her side. Anna loved and lived life to the fullest and is once again feeling warm beach sand between her toes, sun shining on her rosy cheeks, and dancing with dolphins in the cool, ocean waves of paradise. Anna absolutely loved the beach as much as life itself and dreamed of living in Myrtle Beach one day. Her and Mike were planning on fulfilling that dream by moving there until her health took a turn for the worse. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Mike Burgess of Beckley, WV, father Delbert McMillion of Beckley, two sisters Cindy Walters (Jace) and Billi-Jo Mullins (Eric) both from Christiansburg, VA and a long list of grieving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends far too lengthy to individually list. Anna was preceded in death by her mother Evelene McMillion, brother Hugh Gentry, and sisters Claudette Harvey (Mickey) and Carol Anderson (Ronny).
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021 in the Calfee Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Gone yet not forgotten,
Although we are apart,
Your spirit lives within me,
Forever in my heart.
