Alonzo Leonard Moore

On May 28, 2011 Alonzo Leonard Moore “PaPa” of Coal City went to be with his Lord and Savior. Lonnie was born Nov. 6, 1924 at Wickham, WV and served both Oak Grove Christian Church and Glen White Church of God during his long life. He also served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was the son of George Washington and Cora Jane Moore. He was preceded in death by son Darrell, wife Betty, sisters Georgia Keller, Dorothy Cook, and Mary Richards and brother Bill Moore. He is survived by daughter Bonnie Martin and son Randy Moore, step children: Richard, David, Sandy and Becky McDorman and families daughters-in-law Karen and Jeanie Moore, as well as brothers John Paul and Clarence Moore and ex-wife Mary Moore and friend Sara DeHart. He is also survived by grandchildren Jason Martin, Jonah Moore, Bethany Seilbach, Scott and Kathy Moore, Noah and Ashley Moore and 6 great grandchildren; Great grandchildren Lindsay Martin, Skylar Martin, Kaylee Martin, Hunter Moore, Khloe Moore and Oliver Seilbach
Visitation will be at Calfee Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, at 12:00 noon followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jessie Farley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
